Who answers

Gettysburg Mold Remediation is an independent referral service operated by Front Door Digital LLC. We do not inspect, test or remediate mold ourselves, and we are not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent local companies that do this work. When you call, you are talking to the person who runs this site, not to a remediation crew and not to a call center working on commission for one company.

Calls are not recorded

This line does not record calls, does not transcribe them, and has no automated assistant on it. Nothing you say is captured as audio or turned into a transcript. If that ever changes, this page and the privacy policy will say so before it does, and you would be told at the start of the call and asked to agree first.

If you leave your name and number so someone can call you back, that is written down by hand and kept for the purpose you gave it for. It is not passed to any company unless you say plainly that you want to be connected, and you can say no and still get the rest of the conversation.

What this call is good for

  • Working out whether what you are looking at needs a professional at all, using the size guidance the EPA and the Pennsylvania Department of Health publish.
  • Understanding which questions to ask a company before you let one into the house, and which answers should make you keep looking.
  • Being pointed to the free state and federal material on mold, moisture and cleanup so you are not reading a sales page.
  • Being connected with an independent local company, if that is what you want.

What we cannot do

  • We cannot price your job. We do not inspect, test or remediate, so any number from us would be a guess. Published cost ranges and where they come from are set out in the disclaimer.
  • We cannot tell you what is growing in your house. Mold is not identifiable over the phone, from a description or from a photograph.
  • We cannot answer medical questions. If you are worried about symptoms, speak to a healthcare provider.
  • We cannot vouch for a company's certification unless it has been checked and the check is on record. You can look up any firm yourself at iicrc.org.

If it is an emergency

Active flooding, sewage or a structural problem is a different call. Shut off the water if you can reach the valve, and contact a water damage or plumbing company directly. Mold follows water, so the water comes first either way.
